USP as a stage for high culture and mass tourism.
On and around the world's largest lake stage, the Bregenz Festival delights over 200,000 spectators with 80 shows. And all this in a single month. Staging shows on the lake not only fascinates visitors with its oversize sets and incredible technical achievement, but also with the spectacular, commanding and natural backdrop of Lake Constance itself. We used the lake as a communications platform on which every production could appear in highly varied ways while always displaying their very own character. The result was more than 40 images between 2003 and 2008, all of which consistently and very successfully managed to unite two very different genres: high culture and mass tourism.
