ensuring that it will certainly be more than a flash in the pan. While the EAN codes on the goods are being scanned at the till, customers access a Blue Code using an App – this is the last thing to be scanned and the sum is taken from the bank account – finished. Blue Code goes one step further, not only considering the convenience of customers, but also that of businesses. It doesn’t require any additional hardware and, above all, does not incur any credit card fees. The most important benefits are conveyed by 4S: simple, speedy, secure and sparing.
Just as with cashless payment itself, the brand image relies on simplicity. Nomen est Omen and so the Blue Code is also a figurative mark.
